MRI Associates is a physician-trusted diagnostic imaging provider serving Tampa Bay and west-central Florida since our founding, with nine outpatient centers, board-certified radiologists, and ACR-accredited facilities. The patient is our number one priority.

Who we are

MRI Associates is a premier provider of diagnostic services in and around Tampa Bay. We use the latest techniques and technology to give healthcare practitioners and patients the data they need to make informed care decisions — and we do it in outpatient centers built to feel calm rather than clinical.

  • High-field imaging throughout. Our MRI fleet is entirely high-field — 1.5T systems from Philips, GE, and Canon — because low-field magnets produce lower-quality images where subtle findings can be missed.
  • Imaging without the anxiety. The Fujifilm Velocity 1.2T is a genuine high-field open MRI: open on the sides, a 270° view, a table rated to 660 lbs, and quiet SoftSound scanning.
  • Read by board-certified radiologists. Every study, every time, with reports back to your physician quickly.
  • Nine neighborhoods, one standard. From Palm Harbor to Port Charlotte, the same equipment standards and the same protocols.

The technology behind the diagnosis

We invest in equipment for image quality first and patient comfort always: Philips Ingenia Ambition and GE Optima MR450w wide-bore 1.5T systems, GE Signa Excite and Canon Vantage Elan 1.5T magnets, the Fujifilm Velocity 1.2T open MRI, Fujifilm ASPIRE Cristalle 3D mammography, Philips Ingenuity Elite 64-slice CT, Philips Radiography 7300 C digital X-ray, and GE LOGIQ ultrasound.

Who we serve

We work with three groups every day, and each has its own front door on this site:

  • Patients — scheduling, exam preparation, insurance, images and reports, and bill pay.
  • Referring physicians — quick referrals, order scripts, CPT references, and credentialed access to images and reports.
  • Attorneys — client records, reduction requests, and case coordination. All auto insurance, letters of protection, and liens accepted.

Insurance and access

We work with the majority of insurance companies and are always expanding the network. All automobile insurances are accepted, including 100% letters of protection and liens, and all workers' compensation insurances are accepted. If you do not see your plan, call us and we will look into adding it. Please allow 3 business days for the authorization process.

Where is MRI Associates located?

MRI Associates operates nine outpatient imaging centers across west-central Florida: Palm Harbor, Wesley Chapel, Brandon, Bradenton, Lakeland (Highland MRI), Sarasota, Winter Haven, Venice, and Port Charlotte. One line, 727.787.6900, schedules all nine.

Are MRI Associates radiologists board certified?

Yes. Every study performed at MRI Associates is read by a board-certified radiologist, and reports are delivered promptly to your referring physician.

Are your facilities accredited?

Yes. All of our facilities and imaging modalities are ACR-accredited, and our mammography services are also FDA-certified, meeting rigorous federal standards for equipment, personnel, and radiologist qualifications.

What makes MRI Associates different?
