MRCP – Magnetic Resonance CholangioPancreatography

MRCP is used to help evaluate tumors, stones, inflammation, or infection, and to evaluate patients with pancreatitis to detect the underlying cause.  The clinical indications are similar to those for endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) including calculous disease, neoplasms, congenital anomalies, anatomical variants and inflammatory processes.
