NeuroQuant Imaging

Your brain, measured — not eyeballed.

NeuroQuant is software that analyzes a standard brain MRI and automatically measures the volume of brain structures, then compares those measurements against normative data for the patient's age and sex. It turns a picture of the brain into objective, trackable numbers.

Also called: NeuroQuant · Brain volumetrics · Volumetric MRI analysis

What does NeuroQuant measure?

The software quantifies brain structure volumes and benchmarks them against established baselines, producing an objective assessment of brain atrophy rather than a subjective visual impression.

  • Volumetric measurement of brain structures
  • Comparison against age- and sex-matched norms
  • Objective assessment of atrophy
  • Repeatable measurements for tracking change over time

Which conditions is it used for?

NeuroQuant supports evaluation and monitoring of Alzheimer's disease and memory disorders, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological conditions — helping with diagnosis, treatment planning, and tracking disease progression.

How do I prepare?

Performed with a standard brain MRI — normal MRI preparation applies.

Where can I get this exam?

NeuroQuant Imaging is available at seven of our centers — Palm Harbor MRI, Palm Harbor MRI – Wesley Chapel, Highland MRI, Brandon MRI, Bradenton MRI, Venice MRI and Venice MRI – Port Charlotte. One call reaches every location — we will schedule you at whichever has the soonest opening, usually the same week.

NeuroQuant Imaging questions, answered

Is NeuroQuant a different scan?

No. NeuroQuant analyzes the images from a standard brain MRI, so your visit is a normal MRI appointment.

What does a NeuroQuant report show?

It reports the measured volumes of brain structures alongside normative ranges for your age and sex, so your physician can see objectively whether a structure is smaller than expected — and by how much.

Can NeuroQuant track changes over time?

Yes. Because the measurements are objective and repeatable, follow-up studies can be compared to establish whether structures are stable or changing.
